Paul has been a photographer for over 20 years, starting as a freelance with local and regional press and now with Press Eye, Belfast, covering assignments for national and international newspapers and magazines, and more recently stills for RTE and UTV. Newspaper clients include; The Observer, Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Tribune, The Sunday Business Post, Dagens Nyheter and various other international publications. Magazine clients include; Newsweek, Time, Spotlight, Front, Inside Edge, Village, Ministry of Sound and DJ magazine.

Paul’s other main focus is working on long-term photographic projects for exhibitions, book publications and education purposes. Many of these images have been viewed in solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally, some of these venues include; Downpatrick Arts center, N. Ireland, The Pump House Museum, Manchester, The Lowry Gallery, Salford, The Photographers Gallery, London and The Tate Modern, London.

He also designs and facilitates photographic and video courses to community groups in areas of conflict and social deprivation as a way of exploring cultural identity and self-expression.
